From Bavaria to the World
Why does knowledge disappear when people leave?
amaiko was born from this simple question.
Our Story
In 2022, we noticed something troubling in the German Mittelstand: decades of expertise walking out the door. Demographic change meant experienced employees retiring. Gen Z's job-hopping meant knowledge barely had time to settle. Companies were losing their institutional memory faster than they could document it.
We took the idea to Silicon Valley—twice—to validate it against the best minds in AI. The feedback was clear: don't build another wiki nobody updates. Build something that captures knowledge where work actually happens.
In 2025, brothers Christian and Stefan Kirsch founded amaiko in Viechtach, deep in the Bavarian Forest. By July, we launched. Today, over 200 people use amaiko daily—not as another tool to learn, but as a colleague who already knows everything.
