Site Reliability Engineer

Own our Kubernetes infrastructure end to end

Remote (Germany) Full-time 58,000 – 78,000 EUR

We don’t use AWS. We run our own Kubernetes clusters, deploy through GitOps, and our five-person team ships faster than companies ten times our size.

amaiko builds AI that lives inside Microsoft Teams — not another tool, not another login. We’re a growing SaaS company based in Bavaria, and our platform handles everything from natural language to document generation to Microsoft 365 integration. All multi-tenant, all running on infrastructure we built and operate ourselves.

We need a Senior SRE who takes ownership of that infrastructure end to end.

What you’ll do

  • Run and evolve our Kubernetes infrastructure — clusters, networking, storage, ingress, certificates. You own the platform our product runs on.
  • Own the deployment pipeline — everything is GitOps. A new tenant is a git commit. A deployment is a merge to main. You keep it that way and make it better.
  • Build Infrastructure as Code — provisioning, scaling, recovery. Reproducible, version-controlled, no snowflakes.
  • Scale our multi-tenant architecture — each customer gets isolated compute, storage, and networking. You make this work for ten tenants and for a thousand.
  • Make observability useful — traces, logs, alerts. Not dashboards nobody opens. Monitoring that tells you something is wrong before a customer does.
  • Handle incidents and on-call — for a system you shaped yourself. Root cause analysis, postmortems, lasting fixes over band-aids.
  • Security and compliance — GDPR, backup strategies, secret management, patching. Not theater — the real thing.

What we’re looking for

  • Several years operating production Kubernetes — real incidents, not just certifications
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) as a first language
  • Networking fundamentals that sit deep — DNS, TLS, ingress, firewalls. You debug, you don’t google.
  • Experience building monitoring and alerting that actually works
  • Security mindset — not compliance checklists, but genuine understanding of attack surface and risk
  • Comfort with CI/CD pipelines and container workflows
  • German and English — our team and documentation are bilingual

Nice to have

  • Experience with European cloud providers
  • GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Flux, or similar)
  • Contributions to open-source infrastructure projects

What we offer

  • 58,000 – 78,000 EUR/year
  • Remote across Germany — office in Viechtach (Bavaria) if you like mountains
  • A team of five — you’ll have real influence on how we build and operate, not a ticket queue
  • Modern stack, zero legacy — your decisions go straight to production
  • A role that matters — we’re at the stage where the right SRE changes the trajectory of the company
