amaiko costs €41.58 per user per month, billed annually, and that price covers German hosting, full Microsoft 365 integration, unlimited tokens, the morning briefing, Active Inbox and the company memory that grows with every conversation. Microsoft 365 Copilot Business is cheaper per seat at €18.20, but it is an add-on to an eligible Microsoft 365 plan, its proactive work is billed by usage, and it leaves a data protection decision that many IT leads have yet to make. What does amaiko cost per user per month?

The list price is €499 per user per year, which is €41.58 a month billed annually, or €49.90 billed monthly, so annual billing gives you two months free. From 200 users it drops to €399 a year (€33.25 a month), or €39.90 monthly. The same price applies to amaiko, amaiko liberté and amaiko Kanzlei. A team of ten pays €4,990 a year. Until 31 December 2026, an offer for new customers brings the price to €29.91 per user per month, billed annually.

There are no other volume discounts. Billing runs through Stripe, by card or SEPA. You can add or remove users at any time, and there is no commitment beyond the billing year you chose. amaiko is bookable from five users. The company memory is built from the conversations of several people, and a single user would feed a memory that nobody else ever queries.

What is included in the price?

The plan covers the personal AI buddy in Teams and Outlook, GPT-6, unlimited tokens within normal business use, full Microsoft 365 integration across Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive and Word, knowledge capture and sharing, web research, Active Inbox for email prioritization, image generation, and priority support. Meeting notes are not part of the plan: with the Meeting Notetaker add-on, the seat comes to €61.57 per user per month, billed annually.

Resource-intensive features are subject to fair-use limits per billing month. Specifically, that applies to web research, large document analyses, Active Inbox, automations, agent runs, and image generation. There is no entitlement to a particular AI model; amaiko picks the model to fit the task.

Specialist agents from the marketplace, which take over individual domain tasks, are excluded. Teams book them separately when they need them.

What does Microsoft 365 Copilot cost by comparison?

Microsoft offers two Copilot editions. Copilot Business targets organizations with up to 300 users and, once the promotional pricing ends, costs 21 US dollars per user per month, or €18.20 in Germany with annual billing. Microsoft 365 Copilot for enterprises comes in at €26.00 per user per month.

Both prices apply only as an add-on to a qualifying base license, and that list is broad. Microsoft lists Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium and Apps for Business as qualifying plans for Copilot Business, with the enterprise edition adding E3, E5, F3 and a long run of further plans. So for most teams there is no license upgrade to pay for. It is still an add-on: the price above comes on top of the Microsoft 365 license you are already running. Copilot’s proactive work runs in Cowork, with scheduled prompts, daily briefings and email-triggered tasks, billed by usage on top of the seat.

Which costs appear on no price list?

Two line items decide the real total, and none of them shows up in a pricing table.

The first is the data protection review. Since March 25, 2026, Flex Routing has been switched on by default for new Microsoft 365 tenants in the EU. Under peak load, Microsoft may shift model processing to the US, Canada or Australia. Microsoft’s own words: “All tenant administrators are encouraged to check their tenant’s flex routing setting.” That review, the alignment with your data protection officer and the documentation all cost working hours that no quote mentions. The second is adoption. A license nobody opens is the most expensive one of all. Why do most employees ignore Microsoft Copilot? describes the mechanism. An assistant you have to call up yourself loses its users once the novelty wears off. amaiko shows up on its own in Teams with the Morning Briefing, included in the seat. When is liberté the right choice?

For teams with strict data requirements there is liberté, at the same price as amaiko. Every model comes from Mistral and every token is processed in the EU, as a permanent architecture decision that nobody can change by accident in a settings panel. Image generation is left out.

Tax firms are better served by amaiko Kanzlei, the sealed edition built for professional secrecy under § 203 StGB. liberté pays off for law firms, healthcare providers and companies whose works council agreements rule out US vendors. For most mid-sized businesses, the standard plan with German hosting and EU processing is enough.

How do you calculate the price for your team?

Take a team of 25. With amaiko you pay 25 times €499 a year, which is €12,475. Your base licenses stay exactly as they are.

With Copilot Business you pay 25 times €18.20 a month, which is €455 a month or €5,460 a year, plus whatever Cowork bills for proactive work.
