Claude Team is Anthropic’s business plan at $20 per seat per month billed annually, with data stored in the US and no app in Microsoft Teams, while amaiko brings a personal memory in Teams, specialists for your business systems, and AI processing exclusively in the EU.
What you’ll take away from this article:
- Claude Team costs $20 per seat per month billed annually; Enterprise costs $20 plus every token at API rates.
- The name sounds French, but Anthropic is a US company based in San Francisco.
- Data is stored in the US, and Anthropic names no EU option for either plan.

- amaiko costs €41.58 per user per month billed annually, works in Teams with persistent corporate memory, and processes AI exclusively in the EU.
What are Claude Team and Claude Enterprise?
Anthropic sells Claude to companies in two plans that used to share the name “Claude for Work”. Team is aimed at groups of 2 to 150 people and comes with central billing, SSO, and connectors to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Slack. Enterprise adds, among other things, SCIM, audit logs and custom retention rules.
Is Claude a European company?
No. The name sounds French, and customers regularly tell us that makes Claude European. The maker is Anthropic, PBC, a US public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. In Europe, Anthropic has offices in London, Dublin and Zurich, with Paris and Munich announced.
How much does Claude for business cost per user?
On the Team plan, a Standard seat costs $20 a month billed annually and $25 billed monthly, and a Premium seat with five times the usage costs $100 or $125. A Standard seat gets 1.25 times the Pro plan’s allowance per five-hour window, plus a weekly cap; whoever runs out normally waits or buys credit at API rates. How much that is in messages or tokens, Anthropic doesn’t say: for Pro it only states that the number depends on message length, files and model (checked October 16, 2026).
Enterprise costs $20 per seat per month billed annually, plus usage at API rates. The base fee includes not a single token, and it’s sold from 20 seats on an annual contract.
A ten-person team pays $2,400 plus tax for Claude Team Standard in the first year; it can’t buy Enterprise at all. From 20 people, the base fee is $4,800, plus every token the team consumes.
amaiko costs €41.58 per user per month billed annually (€499 a year) or €49.90 billed monthly, from five seats; for ten people that’s €4,990 in the first year. Tokens are included under fair use; under very heavy use, amaiko keeps working on a smaller GPT-6 model and bills nothing extra. Specialists like HubSpot or Personio are added per seat. An amaiko seat is pricier than a Claude Team Standard seat. The next three sections show what it delivers.
Is Claude GDPR-compliant?
Anthropic makes a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR automatically part of its terms, with Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers. The contracting party in the EEA is its Irish subsidiary, Anthropic Ireland, Limited. By default, Anthropic doesn’t use business data for training.
An Irish contracting party doesn’t change the location. According to Anthropic, data is stored in the US, and requests run by default through data centers in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. The only region option for the Claude app is US-only inference for usage-based Enterprise contracts, at 1.1 times the API price without changing where data is stored. Anthropic lists regional options only for AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex and Microsoft Foundry, not for Team or Enterprise (checked October 16, 2026). Sending personal data to the US this way needs safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.
amaiko is GDPR-compliant, stores all data in German data centers and processes AI exclusively within the EU. Our article on AI assistants hosted in Germany explains why storage and processing location must be checked separately.
Does Claude remember what happens in your company?
Claude has a memory, but on the Team and Enterprise plans it’s off by default. An Owner must enable it, then each user switches it on. It applies per person, and every project has its own store. Shared memory per channel and workspace comes only with Claude Tag in Slack, in beta; the Microsoft Teams version is on a waitlist.
amaiko builds a persistent corporate memory from every conversation. Knowledge stays personal or applies company-wide, with Microsoft Teams also to a single team, and amaiko always works with each user’s own permissions. A new colleague doesn’t have to ask around for anything stored as company knowledge. That’s why customers report 57 % shorter onboarding and 35 % less time spent searching. Our article on persistent AI memory shows how the memory works.
Is Claude available in Microsoft Teams?
Not yet. For Microsoft Teams, Anthropic runs a waitlist; in Slack, Claude runs as “Claude Tag” in beta. The Microsoft 365 connector searches SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook and Teams only when a user asks in the Claude window, never in the background. Sending emails, creating meetings or posting in Teams requires an administrator to enable write permissions.
amaiko is the same assistant in Teams as in the web app, with your memory and your permissions in Microsoft 365. Slack integration is coming soon. With Microsoft 365, amaiko reaches out on its own with a morning briefing or urgent emails. The specialists draft emails in Outlook or Gmail, schedule meetings and look up contacts in HubSpot. See what that looks like day to day in a live demo.

How does a team switch from Claude to amaiko?
The switch doesn’t take a project. An administrator sets up the workspace and connects Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, then every user signs in with their own account. Memory starts with the first conversation, and after a few weeks amaiko knows the team’s projects, clients and workflows. Comparing ChatGPT instead? The same math applies to ChatGPT Business. More than 200 people work with amaiko every day.
